  • The main house has 5 bedrooms, a loft, 5 full baths, and 2 half baths and is approximately 7,500 square feet.

While most restaurants and businesses at the Schweitzer Village shut down by 7:00 PM, Sandpoint's downtown pubs, restaurants and other nearby businesses stay open longer hours.  This makes staying at the Newport Plums Estate far more desirable and convenient if your family or group will want to dine out past 7:00 PM. It is very easy to get back-and-forth to Schweitzer from the Newport Plums Estate because there is free parking and shuttle service available at the Red Barn Park & Ride area at the base of the Schweitzer Mountain and free shuttle services available from the Red Barn Park to the lift stations.

 

  • Located only 8-miles from The Idaho Club golf course —ideal for groups coming to golf at The Idaho Club or enjoy any of the other countless outdoor activities available around Sandpoint.

 

  • You will know you have arrived at an extraordinary home right after you pass the opening gates on Pacific Street and pull up to the dramatic porte-cochere entranceway.   The unique front pivot door leads to an equally impressive marble entrance way with fifty-plus feet soaring ceilings.

 

  • One of the only pool homes in downtown Sandpoint.  The pool is junior olympic size and is usually operational from April through September depending on weather.

 

  • In 2019 we added two huge 24 feet bi-folding doors open the dining and living room area up to the pool, which creates a resort feel during the summers.

 

  • In 2019 we also added a custom made resort grade stainless steel jacuzzi and gazebo with wood decking in the courtyard outside of the kitchen.  The jacuzzi will be operational all year round and makes the Newport Plums Estate the premiere location for snowbirds who want to ski during the days and soak in a jacuzzi at night.

 

  • There is a fun ‘50s themed diner and game room that includes a vintage Brunswick pool table, dining booths, original antique Pepsi and Coca-Cola machines and coolers, with a serving counter that will make you feel as if you have been transported back in time to another era.  This is the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy sodas, root beer floats, and burgers with family and friends.

 

  • There is a media room with a surround sound system.  There are multiple TVs on the first floor including a 75” flat screen in the game room all of which are on the DISH Network that includes, among other channels, NHL and NFL programming.
  • The Kitchen is designed for entertaining.  It features a large serving island, stainless-steel appliances including a Viking range, wine cooler, and a Keurig coffee machine.  There are two stoves, sinks and refrigerators. The kitchen is loaded with kitchenware and other supplies you will need for food preparation and service.

 

  • There is a spacious living and dining room for groups to gather and enjoy one another’s company.  The living room has a marble fire place, six reclining leather chairs and a matching sofa.  With soaring ceilings throughout the living and dining room and two huge bi-folding doors open this area to the pool area.

 

  • The main bedroom suite is 1,000 square feet with a sitting room and a double-sided gas fireplace, and private balcony overlooking the pool.

 

  • There are two sets of washers and dryers on both the first and second floors of the main house.  The second floor includes a spacious laundry room with a slop sink and a brand new front facing washer and dryer.

 

  • There is a two-story pantry off the kitchen where you can store food and other supplies.  There is also a desktop computer in the pantry area, so guests can get online if needed, and review videos that show you how to use cool features at this smart house.

 

  • There is plentiful onsite parking available including garage parking for up to three cars, and ample parking available on the circle drive way behind the gated entrance.

 

  • Convenient “smart home” features include the ability to play music throughout the home as well as on the pool deck and kitchen-side patio.  There is a state-of-the-art Savant control system that can be accessed by guests through an iPad off of the kitchen area.  The house includes a wireless network that is designed for heavy Internet usage by multiple guests at once. Upon arrival all guests are provided new August smart lock passcodes to unlock the keypads at the front and rear of the house.  The passcodes change with the arrival and departure of guests.

 

  • There are exterior cameras that allow for monitoring of the front and back doors as well as the pool areas which provides for additional security to our guests.

 

  • Guests staying during the summer may obtain discounted tee time fees to play golf at The Idaho Club as the owner of The Newport Plums Estate is also one of the three principal owners and developer of The Idaho Club golf and lake resort.  The Idaho Club features the only Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course in Idaho.  The golf course is an 18-hole masterpiece that’s located in awe inspiring natural setting that includes water and woods and an abundance of wildlife.  If you wish to play The Idaho Club golf course, please let us know.
